"Every day I walk Bacon three times around the Murray Hills pond (approx, 340 yards per lap). Part of the time I do a slow trot and the rest of the lap I walk, stopping to let my back settle. This gives Bacon time to smell the surrounding bushes. (He should know them all by now) but he still likes to wander. Walkers, mothers or Nannies stop me with babies or young children who question me; what breed is he? I give them the full breed “Australian Multi Gen Labradoodle”. Then eyebrows go up as if asking, never heard if them. Most then say what a beautiful face, sparkling white and red coloring and he is so good-natured. Everyone wants to pet him and although he is a little shy, he sits when I ask him, and allows the admirers to give him a little stroke or two. What is also interesting is that a lot of young children are walking with their parents or nannies (most often grandparents) on the path and are afraid of him. When that happens I straddle his back so he can’t back away then he lets the children slowly come forward and stroke him, he is such a good boy he sits and waits until they have had enough and walk away. Then we continue. Bacon is a smart guy, sits, and lies down. Comes when called (almost always) and full of energy he wants to play all the time. His one problem is he gets excited to see us when we come from being out of the house but he is now learning the OFF command, but to be honest I like the attention. In the evenings this loving animal (member of our family) sits and cuddles when he is not asking for some playtime. We have had dogs for 35 years, and I loved them all but not like this guy. We are so blessed to have him as part of our family, he has become a great joy companion for Jane and I. Thank you so much for letting us give him a home where we get as much love from him as we can give back the same."

He barely barks (only when he sees his own reflection!) and has plenty of energy but definitely not hyper. He is submissive with other dogs and always rolls to his back when kids come up to pet him.
