Puppy Training and Socialization
We are excited to announce that we have partnered with Cooper's Dog Training to offer extended puppy training and socialization to our clients!
This extended two week program will take advantage of your puppy’s critical socialization period and make sure that he or she has been exposed to a variety of people including children of all ages and the elderly, people in wheelchairs and with walkers and strollers. Your puppy will experience life with cats, learn dog play and manners from Australian Cattle Dog "Uncle Abner," and live in-house with professional dog trainer, Katherine Aromaa, CPDT-KA of Cooper’s Dog Training and Behavior Modification.
This comprehensive training and socialization program uses gentle positive reinforcement methods. Your new puppy will be crate trained and learn to go into the crate on command. He or she will be working on preliminary housetraining and learning to ring a bell to ask to go outside. He or she will be learning what are appropriate chew items and that bitey behavior is not okay. Your puppy will be learning sit, down, wait and the basics of Come When Called. You will be updated often with phone calls, e-mails and pictures as your new puppy learns the fundamentals of life as a well-balanced dog.
